Our mission: alleviate poverty and build economic and educational opportunities across generations

Since 1994, Southwest Creations Collaborative has built a sustainable contract manufacturing enterprise that creates dignified, living-wage jobs and invests in employees and their families to drive education outcomes and long-term economic mobility.

How our social enterprise works

Our business and mission reinforce each other. Contract manufacturing revenue funds investments in employees and their families, while a stable, supported workforce delivers high-quality, reliable production for our clients.

Investing in proven, family-centered strategies

Supporting working families

On-site childcare, available for $0.25 an hour, has been central to Southwest Creations since day one. It allows employees to work, grow, and build their skills while staying closely connected to their children throughout the day.

All employees receive paid School Involvement Leave, so they never have to choose between earning a paycheck and participating in their children’s education.

We invest in employee growth through Leadership and Employability Programs that build the skills needed for long-term family stability. These programs provide on- and off-site opportunities to:

  • Improve English proficiency
  • Prepare for and complete the GED
  • Build facilitation and communication skills
  • Take on leadership opportunities

Advancing education across generations

Education is central to our model. Through Hacia: Toward the University, our family engagement and college readiness program, we support families in navigating the path from early childhood through college.

Participants consistently achieve strong outcomes, including high school graduation and college enrollment rates well above national averages.
